189 • Encouraging the Spouse of an Addict
Wednesday May 17, 2017
Wednesday May 17, 2017
Catherine Etherington is an empathetic and articulate mother-of-two from England who has helped hundreds of women come to terms with the news that they have been sleeping with a sex addict. Here's a taste of her wisdom:
Nate: Some Christian women are told that their responsibility towards a repentant spouse (or even an unrepentant one) is to forgive and forget. Is that true? Is it even possible? Are there healthier alternatives that produce healing?
Cat: That is such an important issue and one that we in the church don’t really talk about enough. This whole forgiveness thing puts women under a lot of pressure in the midst of their trauma and confusion and in my opinion it creates a lot of unnecessary guilt on their part.

184 • Treating Depression and Addiction with Dr. Paul Corona
Friday Nov 18, 2016
Friday Nov 18, 2016
Aaron follows up on his promise from the last episode and invites Dr. Paul Corona to discuss treating depression and addiction with medicine.
Have you been struggling for years with addiction, depression symptoms, physical pain, anxiety, or other related issues? For many, there has been no treatment, pill, or treatment plan able to solve the problem. Dr. Corona’s approach is different. He understands there’s only one solution per person, and that solution depends on a number of factors—your genetic makeup, your hormonal status, your body’s chemistry, your upbringing, and even your current lifestyle and stresses.
