Catherine Etherington is an empathetic and articulate mother-of-two from England who has helped hundreds of women come to terms with the news that they have been sleeping with a sex addict. Here's a taste of her wisdom:
Nate: Some Christian women are told that their responsibility towards a repentant spouse (or even an unrepentant one) is to forgive and forget. Is that true? Is it even possible? Are there healthier alternatives that produce healing?
Cat: That is such an important issue and one that we in the church don’t really talk about enough. This whole forgiveness thing puts women under a lot of pressure in the midst of their trauma and confusion and in my opinion it creates a lot of unnecessary guilt on their part.

184 • Treating Depression and Addiction with Dr. Paul Corona
Friday Nov 18, 2016
Friday Nov 18, 2016
Aaron follows up on his promise from the last episode and invites Dr. Paul Corona to discuss treating depression and addiction with medicine.
Have you been struggling for years with addiction, depression symptoms, physical pain, anxiety, or other related issues? For many, there has been no treatment, pill, or treatment plan able to solve the problem. Dr. Corona’s approach is different. He understands there’s only one solution per person, and that solution depends on a number of factors—your genetic makeup, your hormonal status, your body’s chemistry, your upbringing, and even your current lifestyle and stresses.
Read more about Dr. Corona or schedule an appointment by visiting his website. Purchase his books here or on Amazon. Music Used on this Episode "Welcome to the Road" from the soundtrack to The Fabulous Baker Boys by Dave Grusin Subscribe to the Pirate Monk podcast

The Book
Forbidden Friendships: Retaking the Biblical Gift of Male-Female Friendship
Forbidden Friendships presents the case for why Christian men and women not only can but need to engage one another in deep friendship and how to do so.
In the name of integrity, walls are being raised that keep us from meaningful brother-sister friendship in Christ. While personal boundaries can be healthy, these generalised divisions are not Biblical nor these rules in line with Church History at its best. Contrary to their promises, we are not safer from sexual immorality by adhering to them - we are more at risk.
